Early Diagnosis & Monitoring of Canine Cancer.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in dogs, with between 30-50% of animals developing it in their lifetime. We developed a cell-free DNA next generation sequencing-based liquid biopsy panel for screening, early diagnosis and monitoring of canine cancer.

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR HELP

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in dogs

It is estimated that 1 in 3 dogs will develop cancer in their lifetime.

THE RESEARCH

Screening &
Detection.

We are developing a test for screening, early detection and monitoring of cancer in dogs. The project is based on detection of cancer-related mutations in cell-free DNA, which is isolated from dog’s plasma. Cell-free DNA are DNA fragments that are released to blood when cells die. The isolated DNA is then sequenced using a custom-build next-generation sequencing enrichment panel and state-of-the-art analysis pipeline.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Develop &
revolutionise.

The assay being developed canrevolutionise how we screen for, diagnose and monitor cancer. The only thing that you need is a routine, minimally invasive blood draw. No sedation or anaesthesia is needed in the majority of animals. Earlier diagnosis allows for earlier treatment and potentially better outcomes!

We are cancer scientists with many years of joint expertise in cancer research.
